Wearable Sculpture Headpiece

The objective of this project was to create a sculptural headpiece from any three-dimensonal shape using Bristol paper and/or Illustration Board. The primary goal of this project was to be able to construct something sculptural, but also wearable. This meant that the piece had to stand on its own with no assistance of hands to help stabilize.
This piece was constructed using Bristol paper, hot glue, and sewing thread. I created 5 different sized tetrahedron templates to emphasize the dimension of this headpiece.
I was inspired by the idea of a dragon's tail wrapping around the head and draping down the neck and collarbone of the wearer.
