The Little Tikes Tott Tree was designed to reduce the cost of manufacturing and give the playground industry it was lacking, real style and a fantastical feel. Sketches and renderings were developed to get the look and feel of the product. Full scale models were built , where design continued to happen. Full scale models were used for testing and to get marketing teams excited about the product.
