Front - Philips, a producer of high efficiency florescent light bulbs, needed a new package to showcase their environmentally friendly product with a package which still protected the product from damage. The need to reduce the total materials used inspired a tube shaped package which incorporated internal shock absorbing tabs to hold the product in place. The design allows the manufacturer to reduce the amount of material used in production of the package showcasing their environmental responsibility.
