The goal was to lighten the darker areas while not blowing out the bright areas. To do this, I created a mask layer so I could modify each area separately.
original photo has a light glare in the lower portion of the photo.
I eliminated the light glare, sharpened the photo and gave it a richer color.

photoshop color correction samples
On the first two samples where the color seemed dull or muted and I went into photoshop using the adjustment layers, lighted and sharpened the photos. Before then after. The 1st one of each set is the original, 2nd photo will tell you what was corrected.
The 2nd row of photos are for local customer's website that needed color correction and dropouts.
