I have been working for the past 4 years at a global marketing services company. We work with blue chip clients such as BMW, Coca-Cola, Heineken, Unilever and SBD.

My role includes taking briefs from clients and account managers through to concept sketching, 3D modelling and production ready technical drawings.

  As a point of sale company, we work on a diverse line of products for many different clients. In doing so my job entails:
  - Concept development in liaison with clients, our sales members and other team members.
  - Building 3D digital models in Solidworks, with detailed part breakdown technical drawings for local and international manufacturing.
  - Working with various materials such as steel, plastics, aluminium and timber.
  - Designing for injection moulded parts and flat packable designs.
  - Quality control checks of incoming products to ensure they meet our standards.
  - Graphic design/checking client artwork is suitable for digital printing, screen printing and decals.
  -Using and maintaining 3D Printer, as well as preparing and cleaning 3D prints for clients.

  A work experience placement that came about for a fellow student and myself through Swinburne University connections.
  
  We worked within their design team one day a week for roughly 5 months, helping with conceptualisation, CAD modeling, product testing and field visits.

Pioneer CDJ-800 - This piece took slightly longer to finish. The initial model was built using Solidworks and then opened in 3D Max to add materials and a scene.

Apples and a bowl - A rendering that was completed all in 3D Max.

Bar Stool - A design for a modern bar, the stool allows the user to sit in varying positions. All done in 3D Max

Smart Phone - A project that resulted in the redesigning of a smart phone. Touch screen, modern aesthetics and sits comfortably in the palm of you hand.

Wine Bottle Opener - This project was done entirely in Solidworks. We took a wine bottle opener you can buy in the shops and modeled every part of it, a completely working model than we then rendered in Photoworks

Grey Water Diverter - A project to develop a market based product for grey water use. This design uses a turning mechanism to rotate a butterfly valve to divert the water from its normal route to a diversion, which could be a water tank or straight onto your garden. The diverter is easily installed by cutting a section out of your water down pipe and sliding this into place.
