Fimbulvetr @ Pivotproduktdesign

Winner of ISPO winter hardware award 2014/2015. Project was initiated by Pivot Produktdesign and later to join were Maskinen and Hi-form.Fimbulvetr -Old Norse: The Great Winter- is committed to hard-core winter enthusiasts and professionals. After researching 6000 years of snowshoe evolution, we set out to create a stronger, lighter, more durable and ergonomic snowshoe from scratch. Old fashioned snowshoes typically have many breakable parts, feels detached and limits movements. Through redesign, prototyping and testing we developed a high-end tool for superior, personal, winter mobility. To meet these criteria, we aimed to make a stronger, lighter, more durable and ergonomic snowshoe. Therefore Fimbulvetr snowshoes looks, feels and works differently than any other snowshoe.
