The cover was a delight to illustrate... I sent them a number of ideas, and mentioned that the 'snake' theme was a favorite of mine. They went with it, so we have a cover image of a snake pit, with various objects representing the 'Seven Deadlies'. The cover designer did a really nice job incorporating text into this rather busy image; I was glad he used the mask, rather than just chop the illustration from the title. Very tasteful!

'The 7 Deadly Sins Sampler'
The Great Books Foundation contacted me with an exciting project: to illustrate a collection of short stories organized around the Seven Deadly Sins. This is every illustrator's dream job; and I was given a lot of latitude for conceptual development, with a full page for each sin (to be printed in black and white).
