I interviewed Benedict Cumberbatch in London at the press junket for The Imitation Game. He was every bit as sexy in person, and like catnip for women. Every journalist in the room was fighting for time with him, and I captured that atmosphere in the story.

I interviewed Sir Ian McKellen in London for X-Men: Days of Future Past in May 2014. It was a daunting interview, but an incredible experience. To this day, I think Sir Ian may be the biggest celeb I've ever worked with.

As a lifelong Star Wars fan, I became The New Paper's unofficial Star Wars correspondent. When Piers Morgan said Star Wars sucked, I wrote a story defending it, and challenged him to a lightsaber battle because I'd been trained in kendo. It was such a fun story, and it got a great response from fans.

I interviewed Michelle Chong for Women's Weekly's August 2017 cover story. We had a great connection, and she made lots of jokes on our cover shoot, which made it into the story.

FiRST Cover Story - Watchmen - At the time of writing, the legal battles over the movie were so messy that were uncertain if the cover story was going to happen. Fortunately, the release was confirmed soon after. I ended up writing the feature as a whodunnit piece, in the style of the 'Watchmen' comic. Exploring the question, 'Why was the Watchmen project so doomed?", it unearthed the story of almost 20 years of development hell, for what is believed to be one of the greatest graphic novels ever written.

Spirited Away - A Feature Story on 'The Spirit' - I'm a huge Frank Miller fan ('Sin City', 300 etc.), so when 'The Spirit' was hitting theatres I jumped at the chance to write a feature story on it. Unfortunately the movie bombed (which I didn't know at the time of writing). But I did enjoy researching Frank Miller's work and reading about his vision for the 'The Spirit.' All I can say is that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
