Allayant - A Shirt With Built-in Back Support for EMTs

PROBLEM:: Most EMTs experience some type of back pain due to lateral movement while lifting large weight.

SOLUTION:: A shirt with built in back support that would reduce back injury and assist EMTs to better serve more patients.

  • In regards to washing needs; the back brace is removable through the built-in pockets and lacing wires detach from the "artificial" spine, making the back brace completely separate from the uniform. The uniform can then be tossed in the washer. I'm currently working on an updated prototype that I can run through testing. Thanks for your question.

  • Hi James. Thank you for your questions. I am currently working on a new cost analysis, I'm still meeting with material venders to find appropriate materials. For this particular project there wasn't a complete cost analysis.
