Our small team at Leapfrog came up with this concept that infuses a color LCD screen with content into the globes base to showcase our learning content.. The stylus has a camera that can recognize the dot patterns on the globe that triggers images, video and interactive learning games.

Shown in the images are rough initial sketches, CAD prototypes, foam models, color studies and images of the final product.

This globe was a global launch ;). It was launched in 4 different languages. One of the trickiest parts was getting the globe art approved. We were also lucky to get this idea patented.
