The Regional Vision document, a forerunner of CMAP’s GO TO 2040 plan, engages the reader on planning issues such as housing and land use, community population distribution, climate change, traffic congestion, and water and resource conservation. A playful use of color and typography intermix with full-color imagery provided by local residents to help illustrate each topic.

This travel piece for The Chicago Tribune locates and identifies the major hotel casinos along the Las Vegas strip. Using a satellite photo, the casinos are pinpointed and brought to the foreground, then highlighted using close-up photography. These images are emphasized within a gambling chip motif, adding to the Vegas theme but utilizing a color-coded legend to indicate hotel pricing ranges.
The Chicago Tribune
The Chicago Tribune’s sports section reserves the back page for feature-driven articles related to current sports events. Driven by photo-illustrations, these layouts focus on a variety of subjects, from a pre-season baseball preview to a local basketball team’s success to reflective comparisons of the past.
