JAM Design
The main function of the JAM Design website is to showcase the studio’s work. The site is based on the look and feel of a pre-existing identity, making use of colors and typography, as well as existing content.
The site’s structure is an extension of JAM Design’s printed booklets, which function as portfolios. Each page is built around a visual, supported by additional imagery and information activated by mouse-over action.
One8 Solutions
As a multi-tasking computer network and business solutions provider, One8 Solutions needed a website that could clearly communicate the breadth of skills it is able to provide clients. Additionally, it wanted to come across as a less formal, more personable company.
Using a progressive color scheme, the expanding navigation breaks down the many services and applications One8 offers in concise categories. Illustrations reinforce the content of the of each page, while the headers make use of a “bread crumb” trail, helping the visitor see the path navigated. The site can be visited at www.one8solutions.com.
The Crystal Ball YLD Gala
The Combined Jewish Philanthropies YLD Gala is a benefit raising funds for families in the greater Boston area. With the 2002 year’s theme of “The Crystal Ball,” the site called for a look and feel of magic, mystery and excitement.
The emphasis of this gala differs from galas of the past in that it focuses on those it benefits; previous galas have circulated more on the social aspects of the event. Imagery of those helped by the event is used throughout the site, as well as stories of hope, lists of sponsors, and a fully functional area for donations, contributions and ticket purchases.
Chicago Public Schools
Initially an informational, non-visual site, the CPS Office of Research, Evaluation and Accountability was expanded multiple times over the years, becoming chaotic and redundant. This concept cuts the redundancy by streamlining navigation and reorganizing categories of information. A clean and friendly look is applied to welcome the wide audience of students, teachers, parents and administrators.
