Fruit Portrait

In this project we learned about the artist Arcimboldo who was a 16th century Italian painter who served as a portraitist to royal families in Vienna and Prague. We based our work off of his in a way where our faces were completely covered in different types of fruit but still showed the details of our face. We used many different tools in photoshop such as the lasso tools, the move tools, and numerous shortcuts using key commands. The most challenging part of this project was making sure our layers were organized and placing them in the right order to make sure it framed our faces nicely. The most rewarding part of this project was learning how to use the basics of photoshop and seeing how all my hard work turned out into one piece of artwork. If I could do this assignment differently I would want to be able to use other fruits and vegetables. This project was a great way to establish the basic skills of photoshop.
