How to build on a popular best selling programmable calculator. Improving on its best in class functionality, the next generation model was designed to appeal to both young and old. Keeping it simple the calculator slips into a protective carry case for storage.
Foxconn Single Hard Drive Passive CPU - Foxconn is one of Asias largest electronics manufacterers. Not content with making products for DELL, Compaq and HP. Foxconn wanted to explore the potential of a compact, single hard drive passive CPU perfect for Cyber cafes. Several concepts were selected for further development. The concept featured above was inspired by an automotive theme. The titanium enclosure features a perforated vent pattern for maximum cooling.
Foxconn Single Hard Drive Passive CPU Concept 2 - As an alternative to the desktop format, the concept above is a tower format with a smaller footprint. The unique design features an injection molded main housing with a cast aluminum cap powder coated in white paint. The device is prevented from tipping by the flared wings at the rear. This detail helps to animate the overall form. Cooling is provided by the slotted venting on the front. WiFi communication is provided by an antenna at the rear.
