Dissapearing Acts
Series developed during Cluj in Residence programm offered by Centrul Cultural Clujean. The series focuses on documenting street vendors in my city. They are mostly elderly and vulnerable people, struggling to find ways of economic survival in one of the richest cities in Romania. Their situation has worsened gradually over the years, mainly due to traditional markets being replaced by supermarkets, inflation and gentrification of the city. The series represents their slow disappearance as a vulnerable social category, and attempts to bring more visibility to their situation.
