Our winning team, GridSmartr, was selected after two intense days of competition at the "2019 LA Auto Show", securing the grand prize of $10,000 after impressing judges with an innovative solution to two critical Electric Vehicle adoption factors – infrastructure stability and consumer adoption incentives. The GridSmartr tool finds the optimal time to charge electric vehicles, as well as providing incentives to consumers by earning points if they allow their vehicles to draw less energy while the grid is overloaded. My role includes the integration of HERE Technologies API and Amazon Web Services, branding, and slide deck for our pitch.
In January 2018, I passed the 3 months Google Scholarship Challenge (that started in October & ends in December 2017). 100,000+ students all over the United States competed for the scholarship. I finished the race with hard work and determination, I earned a 6-months Nanodegree program in Mobile Web Specialist.

Our app "Silver Screener", is an instant movie reviewer which allows you to rate films, express your opinions, share reviews with your friends, and receive realtime news about a great fight scene or romantic kiss.
The CEA MoDev Hackathon is where developers compete on the world’s technology stage at the International CES in Las Vegas. Our team of 3 hackers, won 2nd place in the travel & adventure category for Windows Phone. I designed the UI of our winning app.
We won 1st Place for the usage of AT&T Speech-to-Text APIs for a children’s app Flashcard Kid. We are a team of 6 and I designed the multi-platform UI.
In 2012, I was a solo woman-in-tech attending and competing in hackathons. Fast forward to 2019, the tech industry has more women and I am happy that we made it this far. The best view comes after the hardest climb.
All those awards will be in vain if I did not pass the knowledge down. One of the best things that happened in my life is being the founder and teacher of our community coding camp for underrepresented kids and women. My mission is to ensure that children in my community have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education in the field of computer science and a pathway to the best jobs in the country. "Success in life is measured by the lives we've touched not by the things we have."
