Detail of the capital. This is actually a slight cheat: the rule of Clairvaux did not permit costly decoration in sacred books, so the scribes invented detailed monochrome capitals of blue, red and green. I used gold leaf here because I couldn't resist how amazing ultramarine blue and gold looks together.
