Shield Manuscript
Commission to recreate a late medieval manuscript.
Design inspired by the Grant of Arms to the city of Vienna, 1461. The shield is based on a striking 'shield of parade' from the late 15th century Burgundy, British Museum, showing a devoted knight kneeling before his lady.
