It’s a comprehensive medical device project. I not only designed three products but also designed the user’s interface. In addition, in the aspect of design strategy, I established product plan for coming three years, planed the information service system and assisted customer to fulfill the strategic transformation from focusing on product to focusing on service.
The pedestal could help screen to fix in variable directions
It’s a desktop device designed for user to use it while standing or sitting. Therefore, the screen can be set into different angles. Considering cost and artwork, I designed a tripod for it. Its front and back angles were 30 degree and 60 degree respectively.
It’s the second device I designed for YIQI. It has inherited the overall style from first device. It’s a professional device. While adopting it in clinical use, it needs several devices to stack together for using together.
It’s the top model I designed for YIQI. Therefore, it brought great challenges to industrial design from the aspect of function, detail and manufacturing artwork.
Customer didn’t provide more detail function definitions to this device. Therefore, before designing it, I executed analysis on user’s behavior and operation flow with the help of detailed function list. Based on the analysis result, I design the overall pattern of this operation panel
User’s interface plays important role in product’s visional effect. In addition to product design, I also helped YIQI in designing a serial user’s interfaces for different models, usages and resolutions.
Search for new details
As a large device, I couldn’t accurately predict its size feeling and details before seeing the actual product. Therefore, we established 1:1 model for it for the sake of discovering its issues, including superficial details. These issues have been fully solved before official production.
Currently, YIQI Company takes medical device as their major business. In short term, they could maintain their competitiveness through technology innovation and product design update. However, in long term, the better service mode is the integration of product, information and data for remote medical service. I persuaded the customer to accept my idea and planed the 3-year business innovation for them. In the new mode, in addition to continue to provide product design service, I will design information and data platform as well as offer other design service
