ISIS - Paramedic Equipment Dolly - Ottawa EMS - 4th year major project completed in collaboration with the Ottawa Emergency Medical Services. Issue: First-responder paramedics sustain injuries carrying heavy equipment to the scene in time-critical environments. Solution: Remove all equipment weight off the body and integrate time-saving features to help professionals get to the scene faster. Lightweight roto-molded body, well placed handles to get equipment quickly out of vehicle, glide bottom for snow and stairs, quick-release cover.
Kitchenette - Conceptualized pre-IKEA and post Hans Olson, Kitchenette makes a good thing better. Designed for urban living, this modular set is compact, functional, fun and easy to maintain. The set always stays tidy with self locating chairs which neatly magnetize into place. Hot & cold silicone pads sit in wells and chairs easily slide out with convenient hand pulls...cushions, of course, detach for washing. Heatformed laminate, square steel tube legs, silicone pads, medium density cushions.
Sofa - Urban Collection - Two heat-formed planks and minimal fasteners are the basis of this design. Aircraft cables reinforce tension in the structure and cushions slip in through large cutouts in the top surface. The backrest is cantilevered and locks in place when pushed against...making for a very relaxing experience.
Lunch Globe - Jan Ken Pon Competition Entry - Theme: Hand to Mouth Entry: A new take on lunch boxes. This design is portable, lockable, and accessible in a variety of ways. Made of food-safe PET, it has crystal clarity and vibrant colours.
