School project dealing with conversion of an old boiler house of former prime textile factory of Brno. Proposed use, apart from assigned brewery and restaurant, are public workshops for courses and individuals working on traditional (sewing, knitting, basketry, indigo or screen print) and modern (screen or 3D print) crafts. Existing wooden ceilings are occasionally opened to create a impressive interior space. The building's vicinity is turned into square with a designed sculpture and riverside park. Existing concrete elevator shaft is painted with colourful artwork to show the historical building's creativity and liveliness. Necessary emergency staircase is sensitively designed on the other side as a mirroring of existing shaft.
