A Bathing Ape Workshop - I re-designed the retail space adjacent to the hotel lobby of the Park Hyatt Hotel in Chicago, originally designed and built by Lucien Lagrange. I replaced Armani that is occupying the space now with BAPE. BAPE is an upscale urban Japanese clothing company started by Nigo in 1993 and based off of the Planet of the Apes.

Park Hyatt Hotel Lobby - I chose to create different plane heights in this lobby. After visiting it and seeing how grandiose the space is, I wanted to make each space within the lobby it's own, but keep it consistent. For the seating area I wanted it to be very contemporary with a traditional Japanese feel. To achieve this I used Cassina furniture, live bamboo, and japanese light fixtures and traditional Japanese prints.

54th Floor Condominium of the Park Hyatt Hotel - This space is simple, clean and contemporary for the most part, but I wanted the kitchen to stand out so I used a zebrawood veneer for the cabinets and two different kinds of stone for the countertops. This space is unique in that I used 3Form panels as room dividers that are lit at the base and can be dimmed for ambiance as well as interesting light fixtures throughout. Not to mention great space planning for each bedroom suite.
