(2007) Live project with Glenelg Design A simple security device which prevents the theft of alchol, both for resale and personal use without compromising the packaging. The screw threads of the cap do not meet until the bottle is purchased, where the assistant will compress it, forcing the threads together.
In Store Security - (continued) If the bottle is stolen, it can only opened by smashing the bottle. Both upward and downward force is required, but only downward is possible after theft. Any downward pressure will break the glass. This allows the bottle to be displayed on the shelf instead of behind a desk, without any imposing security device attached. Rather than compromising the packaging (like existing products), this enhances it, and would be very cheap and simple to implement.
