GRABCAD is an online community for engineers and designers to share the 3D models they have created for free.
its got a great community thats growing every month. i joined in may 2012 and have had my models downloaded nearly 3000 times since then. most of the work on there has just been to develop my CAD skill and some were entered into the competitions they run.
