The SGA tasked us with a redesign project of an outdated plot of land on Auburn University. The small park will serve as a memorial to students who have passed away while attending Auburn University. The pathways in the park help funnel the majority of student traffic between classes in a diagonal pattern. To coincide with the theme "The Spirit that Lives On" the park incorporates an eternal flame sculpture and a reflecting pool with granite stepping stones. The bottom of the pool reads "I believe in the human touch, which cultivates sympathy with my fellow men" taken from the Auburn Creed. The park is not meant to be morbid or somber, but an uplifting place in which students and relatives can reflect on the lives of students who have passed away.
