The box which the light is packaged in acts as the base of the constructed lamp.
The box contains all the workings of the lamp, as well as several extra "shades" in different colors.
Plug the battery into the LED, and fit the LED into the small hole in the top of the box. Blow up the balloon, put it on top of the box and you have a night light.

Evangelista Torricelli, an Italian physicist from the 17th century, was the first person to suggest that air had weight. This simple nightlight owes him a debt of gratitude. Its composed of a balloon, an LED, a battery, and the cardboard box within which all the components are packaged, and air. The final material grants it form and functionality.
