Overview:
I spend a lot time with friends out at night. I wanted to create a collection that those friends and I could wear that would be fun for a night out on the town. I took inspiration from Rihanna's “Who’s that Chick” video. I like the dark versus light versions and it made me think to include a school boy look for clothing reference. The clothes are basically the offspring of the Nerdy Kid and the Popular Kid.
Silhouette/Details:
The clothes have a boyish, uniform quality to them. Mid thigh shorts, cropped jackets, “Varsity” jacket details,relaxed styling elements and the “book belt” accessory and closure play up the idea of a School Boy look.
Fabrics:
The fabrics are for a guy in the summer to enjoy his free time! Lots of cottons, from plaid shirting, to bright twills for suiting. There’s also a water resistant cotton for outerwear pieces and easy knits
Colors:
The colors use the neutrals of the dark, and pop colors of the good side of the video.
