Michael Bambino

This exhibit is about taking familiar, ordinary objects and creating an engaging, interactive and didactic experience.

The cabinet, when disturbed, begins to emit light and sound which repeat and grow in volume. Opening the top drawer the user learns they can manipulate the sound with the drawer itself. They also discover a microphone which allows them to contribute to the sounds. Opening the bottom drawer explains how the piece works, the feedback phenomenon that powers the piece, and offers the user a download of their created soundscapes.
