The Link was created during a one month internship in the summer of 2012, when we were tasked with finding a business opportunity for a major electronics company for the year 2014. Our research led us to an ultramobile device designed for people on the move. We developed and refined the design ideas as a group. I modeled and rendered the final concept.
The physical shape of the Link allows for easy on-and-off as well as creating a unique profile. The semi-rigid structure inside of the band can be easily flexed to twist onto your wrist, but is stiff enough to stay firmly in place. The spiral shape allows you to have your wrist slightly tilted and still keep the screen horizontal.
The Link focuses on the most essential mobile tools, streamlining the experience.
