Kippi Cup - 2016

The Kippi Cup is designed as sustainable alternative to single-use plastic cups used at outdoor music festivals. The cup is made from Polylactic Acid, a completely renewable, biodegradable and compostable material. A sealing unit reduces spillage when used as lid, while securing the hole in the bottom of the cup when used as plug. It also enables stacking and carrying of a few cups by connecting the bottom of one cup to the top of another. Through the use of a NFC tag the Kippi Cup will contain festival attendees' beverage credits, enabling a cashless system and compelling customers to re-use their cup. The cup will be refilled at self-service beverage stations, utilising the Bottoms Up beverage dispensing system for the most efficient dispensing of beer and ciders.
