Persian calligraphy jewelry
Artist Statement:
*In pursuit of achieving a new and contemporary expression, I have benefited from Persian calligraphy. I don’t intent to create the past. Human in contrast with tradition and modernity is my concern. I never considered handwriting as a decorative element. I find new compositions which are rooted in the 1000 years of my fore-fathers tradition, and at the same time face the future. With my fascination for the power of the word, I analyze the appearance of the words and create an abstract, personal and aesthetic form. The output would be a wearable jewelry or not. It would be even a miniature sculpture that you can install it.
