The project aimed at-
• Exploring the lighting needs of the beach resorts of India
• Enhancing the image of resorts and to satisfy the essential need of lighting of resorts
• Using the existing skills set of the weavers to generate employment and to make the product cost effective (locally manufactured)
• Making the bamboo luminaries rich looking to make it competitive and different from other competitor’s product
