Old Work
Old Work - This is some of my old work from Industrial Design at RMIT and SWINBURNE in Australia. Probably the most advanced piece of work is a animatronic palpatory simulator robot, simulating the positions of a mid-term fetus in the pregnant abdomen to teach midwifery students abdominal palpation. There is the prototype of the armature of the mechanism and the Autocad assembly drawing, from which part drawings and laser-cut files were derived. There is a 3D cut-away of the lume bicycle light housing and directional mechanism. The basketball tower was designed and built when I was secretary of the basketball club at the university. I was able to negotiate the construction and installation of this design, which was rotatable, to create space for other events in the ampitheater on Bowen Lane at RMIT.
