Diaphanous: Master of Science | Interior Design Thesis
Diaphanous is interested in men and women who have historically pushed acceptable boundaries of gender through dressing in an androgynous or gender subversive fashion. The client of Diaphanous does not seek to fully abandon his or her ascribed gender, but instead, dresses in ways that may subtly challenge public perception, by adding typically gender-opposite accessories, mannerisms, scents, postures, etc.
An androgynous approach seeks to make room in this often restrictive and strictly enforced realm of identity.
