Alva - A vast series of linear mapping and multi-dimensional studies resulted in new approaches of plotting, recording and transferring spatial information onto paper and back into three-dimensional space in the form of a piece of furniture.
This piece is a mapping of a basement room.

What's left now is grinding down the faces and edges to clean things up, priming and the finish treatments.

Alva (the making of) - After cleaning my welds up, I prime the underside of the table.

Alva - The etched lines serve to 'wrap' around the intricate planes. This is the view from underneath.

Alva - After each coat of spray paint, I would etch in lines before the paint is able to dry. I wanted to make them look like pencil marks.
Alva (Gridbox) - This box represents a space and the lines that flow in and through it.
If you compress 3D to 2D (view this not as an image of a 3D space), the image itself composes numerous layers of exciting shapes and possibilities to reconstruct 2D back to 3D.
