Living Room/ Loft - Before - The existing loft bed over the living area was obstructing both windows limiting the access of light.
Living Room/ Loft - After - A new loft with light steal exposed beams was built liberating the windows and maximizing the amount of light entering the room. The choice of a vintage library rolling ladder not only increased the charm of this cozy room but minimized the floor area affected by vertical circulation.
Kitchen - Before - Personal Client. This 300sf apartment located in the Upper West Side, NYC, needed full interior renovation but the budget was very limited so the goal was to reuse existing resources as much as possible and to maximize the effectiveness of the work.
Kitchen - After - The relocation of the existing cabinetry to a higher position, effective lighting, and the addition of new accessories maximized the use of space creating a very efficient cooking station. The choice of a light tone of grey for the walls both made the space feel bigger and created an elegant contrast with the white thick basic trim. New additional storage space was added over the corridor by the dropping of the ceiling which also, underlines the hierarchy of the rooms.
