in Oct 2010 I spent a month in Tokyo doing usability research on ZoomSystems' Proactiv Shops. I spent a lot of time in malls and trainstations observing people use our machine, gathering ethnographic data, and looking at other public UIs to try and understand Japanese commerce culture.
