Brief:
Design a range of IP65 lighting fixtures (finally, the lighting fixtures will pass IP67, and would be rated that way), to help AlverLamp to perform better on its market (Spain, and West of Europe). Find ways to save costs, and rationalise the manufacturing (to that end, the use of extrusion process for the body of the fixture was selected, rather than moulding).

Strategic design choice:
Finding solutions to reduce installation time and improve easiness of installation, to improve sales (as labour costs are high in Europe for companies to equip commercial centres or parking for example). Plus it would help AlverLamp to build up its reputation towards its B2B and B2C clients, as well as with the architecture community.

AlverLamp - IP67 lighting fixture / midrange positioning range (dual material extrusion) This lighting fixture offers a very robust and simple architecture with its two end cap with brushed aluminium look, that visually connects with the ceiling attachment part (which brings the brand logo). The cable connector and screws are hidden behind aluminium covers, to give to the fixture a purer and unified look. The body is extruded in 2 materials (at the same time), one shiny light gray plastic (top), and one milky plastic (bottom), which is a great help to reduce manufacturing & moulding costs. The installation is very easy for the final design: fix the product to the ceiling, then connect the electrical cables at both ends (no need to open the product, thanks to a special IP68 connector under the cache), and put the cable covers. Product available in 600mm, 1 200mm and 1 500mm versions (the body is simply extruded and cut and the required size).
AlverLamp - IP67 lighting fixture / premium positioning range (dual material extrusion) This lighting fixture offers a very distinctive architecture, which stands out from the ceiling. It highlights the extruded shape, and a shape junction effect, with its bent shape at both ends. The fixture attachment and enclosing parts are made of aluminium. The 4 cover parts (2 per end) are made of aluminium, with a vertical brushed finish, which gives to the fixture a very elegant look. The branding is applied on a chrome part (laser engraving), to make it look more discrete, and high end. The installation is very easy for the final design: fix the product to the ceiling, then connect the electrical cables at both ends (no need to open the product, thanks to a special IP68 connector under the cache), and put the cable covers. Product available in 600mm, 1 200mm and 1 500mm versions (the body is simply extruded and cut and the required size).
