I designed and implement this annual summer fellowship for NPCA to be in partnership with Duke and the Park Institute for America. The students have a 10-week curriculum that includes being paired with a regional landscape coalition, weekly assignments, guest lectures, cartography lessons, office hours, and peer-to-peer learning. The fellowship culminates in a landscape visit, a presentation, and the delivering of a geospatial and science communication toolkit to the coalition "client". Students have often chosen to extend the summer work into their full graduate thesis.
