Comet - I imagined these dart lights to be solar-battery powered. They would soak up sun all day by a window, then at night get tossed, glowing, to the wall for a moody, diffuse light. I wanted to have the arc of light, as well as the notion of play, be as much a part of the design as the individual components of the stationary fixture. Finalist at the NYDC 2009 George Kovacs Lighting competition.
