Grass Rug
For five years in my early career, I created sculptures using live grass cultivated from seed. I would avoid the use of soil, and instead, explore various alternative growth mediums. In addition, I strive to not only get a smile out of most viewers but also, provide something they have never seen before. It is my hope that this results in the question ‘how,’ or even, ‘why?’
Very few of my works had a specific utility,
but in this project, I needed to design a product that could fill a space with symbolic representation and maintain the functionality of an everyday rug.
