A community project designed to connect people and urban nature through the creation of public seating areas.

The community plays a crucial role in the creation and maintenance of the project. Like nesting birds gathering materials, community members collect old furniture, scrap pieces of wood and other recyclable materials to be used for construction. The participants use dedicated tools and frame like jibs to build the nesting boxes and seating areas. These specialized tools allow for customization but constrain the users to required dimensions.

The system includes a series of simple microphones that are scattered in natural and artificial nests of songbirds. The vocals they record are simultaneously transmitted to speakers in adjacent sitting areas.
