Haptik Aula (Haptic Aula) is an architectural workshop held in Namik Kemal University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Department of Architecture between 29th April to 09th of May, 2014. The workshop is the part of research project entitled as “Kinesthetic Perception and Haptic Space” by Assistant Professor Esen Gökçe Özdamar.
During two-week intense program, the students are expected to cover meanings of kinesthetic perception at different levels and its relationship between haptic and interactive space. Students learn and develop design process, work with recycled materials and transform them into haptic surfaces and furniture. Innovative thinking and flexibility are the key terms in practice.
