2 cut - The infamous "2-cut" assignment at MIAD. You start by gluing up and machining a perfectly rectangular basswood block. Then you use a band saw and cut a path from end to the other, rotate it 90 deg while holding it in a block shape and cutting it once more. there are then four pieces that can be arranged into a new form. Lastly, you learn how to bondo (if needed) and paint.
