SPIKE LEE KNICKS EXCLUSIVE: THE GARDEN MECCA of BALL

After the success of the Yankees Spike Lee Joint 2.0, Spike wanted to rush an exclusive for the Knicks in late 2010.
He was very specific on the logos and years he wanted to use: ’46 - ’64 on the back (with “da Orange and Blue” underneath), ’64 - ’92 on the front, ’69 -’76 on the left side, ’79 -'80 on the right side, and on the undervisor he wanted "THE GARDEN MECCA of BALL” in white letters. He also wanted the 59Fifty to be a low crown…always something different and kinda ahead of the time.
It was a simple enough cap that required only a bit of digging for the logos and their official colors of the time.

Spike LOVED the execution, but unfortunately, very few samples of this cap were made for…. reasons. Those out in the wild are usually only worn by him while Courtside at a game.
By 2011, when a relaunch was scheduled, the colors were flipped and the under visor now read “KNICKERBOCKERS"
