In 2012 I was contracted by the Australia-based COB'S BREAD Company and the Canadian grocery chain KIN's FARM MARKET to design and illustrate a book to be used as part of a joint "nutrition in schools" education program. This book became the first in a series of comic books and activity books that were published annually until the program concluded in 2016.
In addition to the illustration, layout and design of the book itself, the project included the character design of what would become the "Farmer Kin" mascot as well as the design and illustration of a number of product tie-ins such as stickers, buttons and posters.
The characters and book were hand drawn with good ol' pencil and paper before being recreated in Adobe Illustrator.
