SKY RACERS were designed as a refresh for Be Amazing Toys' successful Fuel-n-Duel ROCKET RACERS, a science-based vehicle play-set where children build and race customized cars powered by chemical reactions and compressed gas. The toy encourages experimentation, observation and creativity.
SKY RACERS use a unique reaction chamber and launch system to propel customized airplanes and rockets through the air. Kids experiment with different wing and fuselage components to create their own vehicles and discover how to make them fly straight, perform stunts, and out perform their competition.
For my part, I started with hand drawings and rough sketches before building many a series of rough breadboards and test models. The final CAD designs were created in Fusion 360, 3D printed and finished into working prototypes.
