Tsunami Shower

Self-cleaning & self-maintained shower
Roca One Day Design Challenge 2015 | 10 hours design contest | Solo contestant

Tsunami is a both self-cleaning and self-maintained shower that reuses water collected during the shower and filters it for it's own washing.

A micro-turbine generators system uses the flowing water motion through the conduit during use of the shower to generate enough electricity to feed a pump that sends waste water upwards once filtered for the cleaning process. It also produces energy to feed the rotary motor and the overhead lighting.

The upper stream of water spins centrifugally during the cleaning process, spraying the interior of the shower with a solution of water and detergent and then rinsing it.
