Cobra Bicycle

The idea behind this design was to choose an animal and incorporate its features in a product. The animal that was picked was a snake, The king cobra, because of the distinctive shape of its extended neck and its elegant form. The cobra’s curved shape was used as an inspiration for the fork of the bicycle. In order for the product to be more complete, the rest of the elements that are used to make a bicycle were also thought of. For further implement of animal features, the LED diodes are put inside of the fork tubes, resembling the snake eyes. The LED diodes lighten the way in front of the rider. There is also the red colored rear light, equally important for the traffic safety at night. The handlebars and the seat are covered with the imitation of snakeskin. The color palette was chosen to be in accord with the name – The king cobra: the yellow that symbolizes the gold of the king’s crown combined with the black that represents the snake’s eyes and the danger it embodies.
