Undergraduate Work - Lean / prototype

Lean was created to embody the significance of a whole created by the sum of its parts. The chair was designed for my junior review and was meant to express an interest of associating value within a utilitarian object. The chair was created to invoke an impression, as I believed the user would appreciate the importance of how each element is dependent with one another in order to function as a whole.

The name Lean represents the relationship between the thin metal frame and the multiple wood pieces that reinforce it. As well as the wood joint that cannot withstand without the support of the interior steel.
